regathering plan
Due to the ongoing pandemic known as COVID-19, we have done our best to protect our community and honor our local and national governing recommendations. After much prayer and consulting the Southern Baptist Convention guidance, Governors guidance for Tennessee, and CDC guidance we have decided to slowly regather on our physical campus. Listed below are our plans to regather at Trenton Street’s physical location.
1. We plan on gathering for services Sunday morning, May 10th.
2. We will offer two morning services: 9:00 and 11:00.
- This will ensure that we maintain social distancing while never exceeding 50% seating capacity.
3. Our 9:00 Worship Service is designated for Senior Adults Only.
- This will allow our seniors to be the first to enter the sanitized sanctuary and not mingle with others that may be more socially active in the community.
- Though this early service is designated for Senior adults, this does not mean it’s mandatory to attend this service. Much like many grocery stores and department stores are offering senior hours, we want to provide that option, as well.
3. Our 11:00 is open to everyone.
4. We will still be streaming Sunday Services Online, as well.
- For those who feel it is best for them to stay home, you will continue to be able to worship with TSBC Online.
5. There will be NO Sunday School.
6. There will be NO Children’s Church or Nursery.
7. There will be NO Sunday Evening Service.
8. Wednesday Evening Bible Study will only be Online.
As you know this is an ever changing situation. Please know these are our tentative plans and we will keep you updated should there be any need for change.
We will be following the Governor’s guidance for “places of worship” as much as possible so below is a list of things to expect the first Sunday we meet:
1. There will be masks available for those that wish to wear one.
2. There will be no “greeting/handshaking” time in the service.
3. We will be arranging the seating to maintain social distancing between family units.
4. There will be no “passing of the plate” but there will be a place to drop your offering at the end of the service.
5. We will be cleaning the sanctuary between the 1st and 2nd service.
6. There will be NO choir, only a few on stage leading in worship.
7. Greeters will be greeting from a safe distance with a smile
